Greenfield Upholstery Skills Workshop presents "BRING
A PROJECT" Course which you will learn key upholstery
skills working in a small friendly environment.
This course
is suitable for all levels from the novice to the
more experienced. Each student works at their own
pace.
With this
"BRING A PROJECT" Course you could learn,
for example;
Reupholstering
your own chair (such as a dining chair) with either
a drop in or fixed seat
Reupholstering
an ottoman, window pelmet, footstool or headboard
Learn
upholstery sewing eg. cushions and piping
Deep buttoning
/ tufting
How to
use the upholstery tools
You will
learn traditional and modern upholstery skills that
you can use in your own home time after time. Tools
will be provided. You can either bring along your
own or purchase the material. We can also supply new
frames if you require. These will have to be manufactured
and paid for beforehand at our frame makers. These
must be ordered 4 weeks before the course starts.

Course
Details
Each two day course will will run
from 9.30am to 4.30pm on each day.
Please wear appropriate clothing
and footwear. (No loose clothing or open toe shoes).
A full safety briefing will be given beforehand and
some instruction on the various tools that will be
used. Protection glasses and aprons will be supplied.

Course
includes:
Expert one to one tuition on
your project
Full use of the workshop upholstery
tools including training on staple guns
Supply of sundries including
staples, decron, wadding, webbing, buttons, glue
Tea/Coffee facilities (you'll
need them!)
Course
does not include:
The project itself
Foam products (Cushions or cover
foam)
(Foam sheets can be purchased during the course.
Cushions need to be ordered in)
Metal decorative studding
Students provide their own meals
Projects need to be approved
before the course.
There is limited space and sofas are not allowed.

Payment
A deposit of £70.00 per person is payable when
booking and this deposit is non-refundable. We will
send you a receipt by return and invoice you three
weeks prior to the course for the remaining balance.
This is payable by return please. Courses booked less
than three weeks in advance should be paid for in
full at the time of booking. If for any unforeseen
circumstance the course has to be cancelled by us
we will offer an alternative date. If this is unacceptable
we will return the deposit and fee(s).
If you
Cancel
If you cancel less than three weeks prior to the course
then unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds.
Course
Postponement
If you postpone within three weeks of your course
we will ask for 50% of the course fee. For postponements
more than three weeks in advance, we will be pleased
to re-arrange another suitable course date. Courses
will run throughout the year and full details will
be available through our website and social media
platforms.
